FlashWrite Failed on HP StorageWorks MSA SAN Switch 2/8

I recently noticed that when I hyperterm into our subject SAN Switches is see a continous attempt to "save configuration" with the recurring message "Flashwrite: failed - retrying".  Occasionally I see a message "succeeded after x tries" but more often I see "Giving Up" and it starts up the saving attempt again a short time later.  There are no error messages on the controller, redundancy is still good.  Furthermore, there have been no configuration changes made to the switches in a long time.  Any help in resolving this is greatly appreciated.
