I'm having a problem with a HP 2408 (rebranded Brocade 8000) converged network switch. I am trying to conenct the 2408 to a HP Procurve 6120XG CEE enabled blade switch to connect CNA mezzanine cards. However, I am only able to get the two switches to work with CEE when I have the 6120 in 8-queue mode. Then I put the switch in 2-queue mode (which the Emulex CNAs require) I get the following error on the 6120XG:
I 07/17/12 19:06:44 00076 ports: port 18 is now on-line
I 07/17/12 19:06:44 03236 DCBX: port 18 minor mismatch(Number of Traffic Classes).
This is despite having only 2 queues configured on the 2408:
swd77(config)#do show cee maps mondavi
CEE Map mondavi

Can I configure the 2408 to only use 2 queues? Does the 2408 have a command similar to the Mondavi "qos queue-config 2-queues" command?

SolutionThis turned out to be a red herring. This error does not block FCoE traffic. My real issue was that I was missing jumbo frames on my 6120 FCoE VLAN.
Also note that this is an unsupported configuration. We went with another switch because of this. While I did get it working, I performed no stress or long term tests with this switch combo.
