HP EVA 4400 DISK FIRMWARE UPGRADE
Dear All..
I want to upgrade our EVA 4400 diskfirmware because I recieved a alert from HP that this upgrade was mandatory.
My question,
Is there a rollback posibility when the upgrade fails..?
WHat should I be aware of,
thanks for all the replys,
best reghards

Re: HP EVA 4400 DISK FIRMWARE UPGRADE
Select a time frame when the array is not fully busy.
Use file
HDDBundled_FC_Image_2013_03_18.zip
to upgrade.
Don't worry about downgrade!
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

In theory you can downgrade the firmware with an older bundle. But why? This was never needed so far.
But if the disk really would fail during upgrade, it will be dead and needs to be replaced. You cannot up- or downgrade a dead drive.
So the only "rollback" is to have a backup, just in case.
Hope this helps!

Torsten.
