It's not answer! It's readme for Win2000/Win2003.

Re: HP MPIO for EVA5000 & Windows 2008 64-bit

The installation manual is stored in the .ZIP file. After extracting the archive's contents, just run "launch.exe".

Before you do that, please check if your EVA5000 really does run VCS4.x firmware as this is the MPIO for active/active EVA firmware.

Re: HP MPIO for EVA5000 & Windows 2008 64-bit

Yes, we have EVA5000 VCS4.1 firmware.

You are sure, what this version HP MPIO working with Windows 2008? You can look on to picture (see attachment).

Re: HP MPIO for EVA5000 & Windows 2008 64-bit

Oh, sorry, I did not have my morning coffee when I responded :-(

I have just checked the latest compatibility table and Windows 2008 is not listed, yet.

I guess that Windows 2008 requires a new MPIO framework, so the installer actively refuses an install.

Hello Rohan,

If you look at my first message (on top of this page) you will see, that you link = my link. It's bad answer.

Pavel

P.S. I think that Windows Server 2008 allready have support MultiPath I/O (MPIO) without additional software.

Re: HP MPIO for EVA5000 & Windows 2008 64-bit

now... that's interesting.... I navigated to the page from this link.....

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?prodNameId=421494тМй=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=18964&prodSeriesId=421492&taskId=135

it lists the multipathing software for all the versions and flavours of Windows.... however the release notes don't talk about 2008....
