There is an issue with the HP MSA 1040 which is causing the virtual machines to lose their storage and configurations file and they won't boot.
How do I go about resolving this issue?

Re: HP MSA1040 initiator
Were there any changes, upgrades or admin activities since then the issue started?
Is that frequently happening? Can you please provide more details of the issue?

SolutionHi,
You could start with by uploading logs to MSA health check web link to confirm whether there are any underlying hardware issues:
Check whether you see any errors in MSA event logs.
Please share more details about the issue.
ex: Connectivity type- Direct /Switch , FC/SAS/iscsi, Host server OS version, Does the restart of server or MSA controllers help resolve the issue?
