HP P2000G3 vdisk expand
Hi,
We have an HP P2000 G3 with 2 Array, one for VM, one for Backup. Actually, we have an issue where the Backup Array is almost full as we have replication site on this array too.
We have a 2 spare drive, so I can take one and add it tothe vdisk (900gb 10k). My questions are:
1. How long can it takes?
2. Can I/O to this array can still be performed? And can it be performed without formating the array?
I can disable replication site, but local backup should stay (but not very big, maybe 1-2gb per day maximum)
Thanks!

Re: HP P2000G3 vdisk expand
Depending on your configuration you can add a disk or you need a pair.
Expanding may take several days, but your array remains online and working.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: HP P2000G3 vdisk expand
Hi, Thanks for your answer!
it's a raid 5 of 6 900gb 10k.
So I guess we will go like this, as there is too much data to backup!
Thanks.
(Hope no power failure, we have a UPS but not for 3 hrs hehe)
