HPA 2214 MSA 1000 for W2K3 and Silkworm 2800
Hello everybody,
I had a problem.
We have a silkworm 2800 with 1 GB GBic and now
we want to connect a new server. This server
had 2 HBA 2214 MSA 1000 / 2 GB ) inside. Does ist work in a 1 GB SAN
The other HBA were Agilent HBA with 1 GB Gbic,
but they don't work with W2k3
Can somewone help me.
With regards
Stephan

Re: HPA 2214 MSA 1000 for W2K3 and Silkworm 2800
The MSA1000 and the FCA2214 can work on a 1 GigaBit infrastructure. The MSA1000 should automatically negotiate - you _might_ have to change the setting in the FCA2214 BIOS if it was formerly locked to 2GBit, but that's no big deal. Make sure that the MSA1000, the SLKW2800 and the FCA2214 firmware does match as I have seen login problems on a 2800 that had firmware too old for the MSA.
