HPE MSA 2050 SAN Reserved Storage Utilization
Hi All,
Our storage is showing that it has 19 TB reserved. As we are pretty much in a good shape and dont need that storage but on this coming saturday we have an activity and for that we want some storage.
Can anyone please help and share process how we can utilize this reserved Storage.
Thanks

Re: HPE MSA 2050 SAN Reserved Storage Utilization
Hi Yazdan,
I see that it is MSA 2050 SAN and you are worried about 19TB space reserved.
I would like to understand the configuration of your unit?Especially the virtual volume were space is reserved.
What is the pool size from which you created volume?how many DGs are present in that pool and what is its RAID?
Please feel free to log a call with support and share logs,so that we would analyse the issue better!
Thanks

Re: HPE MSA 2050 SAN Reserved Storage Utilization
Reserved space refers to space that is unavailable for host use. It consists of RAID parity and the metadata needed for internal management of data structures.
Hope you mean this space. You can also provide screenshot of the SMU where this shows up
We need to check your entire configuration to comment further.
Hope this helps!
