Help with DL 360 G5 with MSA 2012sa
Hi, I'm new to the forum, but needed some help in setting up the MSA 2012sa. I have rebuilt the DL 360 server with Windows 2008 R2 and as a File server role, it has the MPIO features installed. The MSA has one Volume of 10TB and the volume has been mapped with 1 LUN to the server.
When I look at the device manager, I don't see the one whole volume, rather I see 2 partition (2TB and 8TB), is there a reason why this has happened, can I configure anything to make it show one big 10TB volume rather than the split?
Thanks in advance.
P.S. this thread has been moved from Storage Area Networks (SAN) (Enterprise) to Storage Area Networks (SAN) (Small and Medium Business) - HP Forum Moderator

Re: Help with DL 360 G5 with MSA 2012sa
Hi, this is probably an old story, when windows boot volume (or what is the right name, don't remember) must be 2TB or smaller.

Yeah, you need UEFI to boot on a volume larger than 2TB.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GUID_Partition_Table has some more info too.
