ISL Trunking Ports

When creating multiple paths to different switches is it advisable to put these on separate trunking group ports or can these be within the same group?

e.g. Switch A needs to connect to switch B & C, Switch B needs to connect to Switch C. Plan is to use 2 ports for each path.

Re: ISL Trunking Ports

Craig,
I guess you are talking about Brocade's trunking feature. Which switch is involved?

A trunking group is all (2 to 4) trunked ISLs between two switches. It does not define all ports that belong to the same 'quad' (4 ports connected to the same ASIC).

Brocade suggests to use different quads for different trunk groups.
