Invalid drive when add disk AP872A to disk group on EVA P6300 (with details)
Hello,
I have EVA P6300, Controller HSV340, XCS version 1120000, XCS build CR229Clesp, Drive Enclosure M6612 with disks inserted AP872A, EF0600FARNA, 600GB, 15K, SAS, LFF, spare part 583718-001, firmware HPD6.
Then I added some more disks to Drive Enclosure. EVA P6300 has identified it (Status: good, green indicator). But when I tried to add new disks to existing disk group the pop come up with the message "Drive unsupported" and the event log 067d402d (An invalid disk drive has been inserted, please replace with an EVA disk drive). Then disk marks as Failed. Please somebody help me to solve this issue. Thank you very much.

Are all new disks exactly the same ( AP872A, EF0600FARNA, 600GB, 15K, SAS, LFF)?

You should contact hp support now.
Maybe there is something wrong with the disk firmware installed.
Let them investigate.
