K360-A3404A-connect to switch problem

We have a K360 with A3404 fabric adapter. We want to connect it to IBM's 2019 switch to be able to get access to the storage subsystem.
When we connect it directly to the controller the link is up.
When we connect it to the switch link is going up and down. The card (using fcmsutil) is resetting constantly.
Driver is at level B.11.00 (we couldnt find any update for A3404A)
HPUX version 11.00.
Any help will be appreciated.

Re: K360-A3404A-connect to switch problem

A3404A is loop only. You will not be able to connect it as fabric or public node. You need to setup switch's port in quickloop.
Although quickloop hosts will be able to see only quickloop storage.
Call HP and check if trade-in program (changing A3404A to A6685A) is still effective

Thanx ALOT for your help. We changed the port of switch to FL_port and it worked fine

Re: K360-A3404A-connect to switch problem

As I know, the switch port type can be changed by the port media property.
All os,you can set it manual too.
Why?

I am not sure I understand the question. Why what thing? Anyway you just change the port type from the switch and HBA auto-connects to the port and everything is ok.
