LFF & SFF compatibility with MSA2050

Hi all,

Are the drive models compatible with msa2050 below?

1) HPE MSA 1.2TB 12G SAS 10K SFF(2.5IN) DUAL PORT ENTERPRISE 3YR WARRANTY HARD DRIVE (EG1200JEMDA)

2) HPE MSA 4TB 12G SAS 7.2K LFF (3.5IN) MIDLINE 1YR WARRANTY HARD DRIVE (ST4000NM0034)

3) HPE MSA 6TB 12G SAS 7.2K LFF(3.5IN) MIDLINE 1YR WARRANTY HARD DRIVE (ST6000NM0095)

4) HPE MSA 400GB 12G SAS ME-2 LFF (3.5IN) ENT MAINSTREAM CONVERTER CARRIER 3YR WARRANTY SOLID STATE DRIVE (MO0400JEFPA)

On spec, it looks like everything except SSD.

Re: LFF & SFF compatibility with MSA2050

Hi,

MSA 2050 might go with either SFF chassis or LFF chassis.
The additional disk enclosures could also be either SFF or LFF models.

The below mentioned drives are compatible with MSA 2050 based on the chassis type:

Please go with either part number or option part number rather than drive vendor internal model number.

Option part number: J9F48A - HPE MSA 1.2TB 12G SAS 10K SFF(2.5IN) DUAL PORT ENTERPRISE 3YR WARRANTY HARD DRIVE - EG1200JEMDA

Option part number:  K2Q82A - HPE MSA 4TB 12G SAS 7.2K LFF (3.5IN) MIDLINE 1YR WARRANTY HARD DRIVE - ST4000NM0034

Option part number:  J9F43A - HPE MSA 6TB 12G SAS 7.2K LFF(3.5IN) MIDLINE 1YR WARRANTY HARD DRIVE - ST6000NM0095

400GB SSD drives listed in older MSA 2050 quickspecs sheet is listed below:

N9X95A - HPE MSA 400GB 12G SAS Mixed Use SFF (2.5in) 3yr Warranty Solid State Drive

P9M79A - HPE MSA 400GB 12G SAS Mixed Use LFF (3.5in) Converter Carrier 3yr Wty Solid State Drive

Hi Abelono,

These drive types are supported in MSA 2050. And also SSDs are supported as well.
