Linux drivers required for P2000 G3 ?
Hi
We have some BL685 G7 blades which are connected to a couple of P2000 G3 via FC.
Some of them have WIn 2008 on them and other SLES 11.
After some performance testing we have found that a simple file transfer of a 20Gb file from local storage to a P2000 lun, is 3 times faster under windows than it is under linux.
This is very repeatable and we get an average of 300Mbytes per sec on the Windows and 100Mbytes per sec on the Linux (with kernel 2.6.32.12).
Do we need some drivers for the Linux patform which might improve performance, I don't think that we have installed any so far for use of the P2000 ?
Thanks for your help
Tony

Re: Linux drivers required for P2000 G3 ?
Hi, the driver would be for the FC HBA if anything.
Consider queue depths or file system properties.
Hard to tell more without more details about your testing setup.

Depending on your HBA you might need to replace the driver. In most of the cases, the inbox drivers will do. Please review the document attached.
