MSA 1000 controller lost configuration after reboot
Hi,
My MSA 1000 (firmware 4.48) lost its configuration after a reboot. I have 2 another shafts of disks. The display shows no errors, but a new step : Persistent mem enabled, that did not appear before.
Please, any ideas?
Thanks,
Rodrigo Varella

Re: MSA 1000 controller lost configuration after reboot
Does your MSA have 2 MSA controller? Was it working ok using fw 4.48? Or was the fw just loaded recently? What os are the Hosts? How many? Is this a production system? Have you tried shutting down every thing? Disk shelves and MSA, then powering on the disk shelved and lastly the MSA? Are there any more error messages on the LED?

Re: MSA 1000 controller lost configuration after reboot
I called HP support and the problem was solved. The problem was a 36 GB Disk (spair disk), that was green light but in the POST the metadata of the disk was corrupted and the MSA loaded without any volumes. We spent a lot of time to discover this, but when I removed the disk, the MSA loaded OK.
Thanks
