MSA 1000 fibre optic connection issue
we currently have in place an MSA 1000 which connects to a HP DL380 running win2k3.
The MSA fibre optic connection is flashing amber. We have replaced the DL380 motherboard, qlogic fibre card and also the fibre cable but we still seem to be getting the flashing amber light.
My question is this does anyone know why this might be happening?

Re: MSA 1000 fibre optic connection issue
Peter,
is this a direct connect (no FC switch)? If yes, the Fibre Channel adapter in the server must be configure to run FC_AL (arbitrated loop) protocol and locked to 2 GigaBit speed.
