MSA 2000 - Reset Snapshot VS. Delete Snapshot + Create
Hello, I am currently using the snapshot features in my MSA2012fc to take hot snapshots of LUNs.
The procedure I now use is to delete the currently present snapshot, and then create a new one. Master Volume is always the same.
I know there is a feature called "reset snapshot", that apparently leads to the same exact result. My doubt is wether or not I shold start using this feature instead of my 2-steps procedure.
I'd like to know what the practical advantages of using one tecnique or the other are, I'm pretty sure I'm missing something here and I'd like to understand better.
Thank you
