MSA 2012i and 2312i questions
I was recently told the following while I was checking to see if the MSA 2012i is on the VMware ESX 4.0 HCL (it's not there yet):
1) The MSA 2012i is now EOL -- is this true?? when is/was this EOL effective??
2) The MSA 2012i can be converted to a 2312i by installing new controllers -- is this true?? what are the part numbers?? what
new features are provided as a result??
Thank you, Tom

Re: MSA 2012i and 2312i questions
That's what I was told by my HP var.
AJ803A
I don't know of any new features -- the 2312i is on the ESX 4.0 HCL.

Re: MSA 2012i and 2312i questions
Here is the part on CDWG's site:
http://www.cdwg.com/shop/products/default.aspx?edc=1778065&enkwrd=ALLPROD%3ahp+AJ803A
About $3000 -- and if you look it up online the 2312i does not have a whole lot of new compelling features in it that makes it worth spending this much!!!
HP tech support has told me that the 2012i is NOT EOL yet -- just superseded by the 2312i.
Hopefully we don't have to replace it for a long time to come...it was expensive!!
Thank you, Tom
