MSA 2012i and scrub time

hello, I need to figure out how to set the start time of this service scrub.

If you can not set a start,

can i at least diminish Utility Priority?

This is because when the backup or virus scan and scrub is active there are connection errors iscsi.

Thanks

Re: MSA 2012i and scrub time

The only way that you can affect the scrub will be setting the utility priority to low, this will also affect some other background processes like reconstruction, expansion....etc This can be done from the SMU:

1. Select Manage > General Config > System Configuration.
2. For Utility Priority, select a priority.
3. Click Change System Configuration

Hope this helps

Thasnks Papuman,

this has no negative effects on the data?

not have to restart the SAN?

I have to take precautions before you change the parameter?

Turn off the servers connected to the SAN?

Thanks for you replay.

Re: MSA 2012i and scrub time

It does not have any effect on the data at all, and you dont have to restart the SAN for it to take place, Pretty much you dont have to do anything else than changing the setting it doesnt affect anything else. Though if you have a reconstrcting going or any other background process, and you change the setting, it will not affect that going process but it will affect the next processes.
