MSA 2040 SAS Expansion Question

Hi,

I have the following question:

We have a MSA 2040 SAS (with two SAS Controller) running. The three hosts directly connected to the SAS Controllers.

Can we now extend this MSA using the same type of MSA (MSA 2040 SAS with two Controller). I was not able to find any documentation regarding such a used case.

You can't extend MSA 2040 SAS with another MSA 2040 SAS but you can add additional drive enclosure which can be D2700 or MSA 2040

Hi Bernd,

As mentioned by Subhajit, you cannot connect an MSA 2040  SAS ( with 2 SAS controllers) to another MSA 2040 SAS ( with 2 SAS controllers).
