Hi Support Team
I have :
03 HPE DL380 G10 with HBA emulex FC 16Gbps
01 FC SWitch HPE SN6010C
01 HPE MSA 2050 with license Performance Tier.
As my plan: SRV1, 01 Volume from MSA, SRV2, 01 Volume from MSA, SRV3, 02 Volume from MSA 2050 for my APP.
I already configured SN6010 with VSAN 2, include the FC interface as base license
In my MSA 2050, Host setting, only 01 server had a Discovered mode, 2 another server with No status.
anyone can help me... I appreciate !!

Re: MSA 2050 - Host Discovered problem
Thank you for comming on HPE Community Forums.
I am assuming your physical connectivity from MSA host ports to SAN Switch ports and from SAN Switch ports to Server HBA ports are fine.
You need to primarily check your Zoning configuration in SAN Switch as that is most imp because Server HBA ports should be able to see Storage Host ports and vice versa.
Hope this helps!

Re: MSA 2050 - Host Discovered problem
Hi Subajit Khanbarman,
thank you for your advise, cause Im have not exp about HPE FC Sw. After I used the CLI, I checked my SN6010c for the configuration.
SN6010c = Cisco MDS 9148s. Now I focus on this keyword "how to config the Cisco MDS 9000"
btw, do I need upgrade the firmware for my Sw ? My device software was 8.1 for the main OS and kíckstart
Best regards

Re: MSA 2050 - Host Discovered problem
You should check HPE SPOCK website and login using your HPE Passport account,
https://www.hpe.com/storage/spock
Then check MSA 2050 model and look for all compatibity in terms of Host operating System as first step. Then it will show all compatible device, firmware and driver required. You can take decision accordingly.
Hope this helps!

Re: MSA 2050 - Host Discovered problem
Hi Subhajt Khanbarman,
I followed the link SPOCK, It leaded me with too many website and information. I just need you confirm "Do I need to upgrade my FC switch from 8.1 to 8.4 ?"
I will check the zoning configuration for my SN6010c
best regards

Re: MSA 2050 - Host Discovered problem
As per HPE SPOCK it says " “Active” switch software versions are fully supported, but “recommended” is the preferred version whenever possible". Here NX-OX 8.1 is active and recommended version NX-OX 8.4
So even with current version NX-OS 8.1, it should work.
However, it's always recommended to update all driver/firmware for all devices in the environment to get all fix and enhancements.
Hope this helps!

SolutionHI Subhajit,
After I upgrade to 8.4. still the same.
i figured out, that default deny on my current SN6010c for discovered
"system default zone default-zone permit
system default zone distribute full
system default zone mode enhanced
zone mode enhanced vsan 1
zone smart-zoning enable vsan 1
zone default-zone permit vsan 1
zone commit vsan 1"
it's done.
03 my server now could discovered my MSA 2050, and the LTO
