MSA 2050 Performace Direct Attach vs FC SAN connection

Hi 

I have take some time looking for a comparation table about performance on a MSA2050 FC using Direct attach connection to the hosts VS a FC SAN connection.

I have found this link https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=emr_na-a00017538en_us , but need more about , example how much faster is using one or the other connection.

Hi,

the difference is so small that it can hardly be measured.
If you connect by 16GB FC direct or over a 16GB SAN Switch, will make no difference.

This shouldn't matter at all for an MSA.

The number and type of disks and controllers involve the performance.
