MSA 2324fc - Expanding vdisk with larger disks

MSA 2324fc - Expanding vdisk with larger disks

Hello All,

I replaced all 12 300 Gb disks in my vdisk with 600 Gb disks. This was done by removing one disk at a time and rebuilding on to the 600 Gb disk. After all disks are replaced, I can see the additional space. But it is marked as reserved. How do I make use of this space?

The 4.8 TB marked in pink (see attachment) is not available for any expansion.

Re: MSA 2324fc - Expanding vdisk with larger disks

A colleague of mine has expanding an MSA2312fc in a training envrionment of ours in the same way as described by the OP. We now also have the same issue.

It is disappointing that for an organisation as large as HP with such a large global customer base than no-one has responded to this post.

If anyone knows what can be done to resovle this issue, or if the OP found the solution theirselves, please respond.

Thanks,

Ryan

This is a peer to peer forum, not an official HP support site.
Have you tried contacting the HPSC?
