MSA 500 Error
Can anyone tell me what the following error means:
Critical Lock-up Detected Code=f220h
It is a first generation MSA 500. The error message appears on the controller shortly after I start writing to the drives.
Once the error message appears I have to reboot everything to get it to clear.
I have reseated all the modules and can't seem to get it fixed.
Thanks

Re: MSA 500 Error
here are some links you might want to review.
http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00264524/c00264524.pdf
I found the info below in this MSA
The first thing i would do is to open a support call and ask about the error your getting and also about ugrading the Controller firmware. I have used the MSA1000 platform ever since it first came out. There have been ...5-7 firmware upgrades on those controllers. The controllers have had numerous problems in almost every fw upgrade they released.
One other possible problem could be related to the fw on the harddrives. Check to see if they are throwing errors.

Backup your data if possible.
