If you can get your hands on a MSA500 G2, you can use the MSA30 disks and the Smart Array controller with it.
It's a shared storage that's accessed through SCSI.

Ohter MSAs like MSA1000, 1500 and 2000 are acessed through FC or iSCSI.

I don't see support for W2008 and wonder if the box even works with Windows 2008 clustering?

Ahhh, nop. Also only seems to be supported only with Smart Array 642 and Smart Array 6i adapters, so forget what I said.

I am using smart array 6402 array controller on the servers
