MSA1000 Firmware 7.00 and Windows Clustering

I am trying to setup a new MSA1000 (with HA kit) in order to connect a Clustered Windows Server 2003 system (running Exchange Server 2007).

We had an initial error #30 that seems to havebeen cleared up by installing Firmware 5.20 but I have been trying to update eo v7.00 firmware with no joy. Using the v7.0 .msi installer downloaded from the HP website it keeps telling me that the device (MSA) cannot be contacted, yet the ACU can see the MSA via the fibre connection!

I don't know if the EMU error #30 is having some sort of "knock on" effect on the upgrade...anyone got any thoughts or suggestions?

Cheers for now

Are you on the active cluster node or a host with an MSA lun? Are you using SSP? As a test, Does another fw msi package see the MSA?

Re: MSA1000 Firmware 7.00 and Windows Clustering

We have just received a new EMU and it seems to have solved the problems....we can now "see" the MSA and have just upgraded the firmware to v7.00

Sorry for the time waste.
