MSA1000 + MPIO manual failover/failback

Hi
There's a way to force a manual failover/failback of MPIO (using software / operating system) ?
The only way I found: disconnect a cable...

Configuration:
- MSA1000 - 2 ctrls - fw 4.32
- 4 blade BL 20p G3
- Windows 2003 SP1
- MPIO 1.1

Many thanks !

Hi

If you have a switch, you can disable a port, but without, the only way I know is disconnect cable...

Armando:

You can pull the active controller or a fibre.

Other ways, none with MPIO... not until a full featured package is released.

With ACU, if you have SSP enabled... disable access to the disk from the active controller. When you save, the controllers should switch roles.

Is this a safe method? Heck no and I probably would not do it with Live data, but should work.
