MSA1000 SAN Switch 2/8 password recovery

Folks,

Got the aforementioned switch here that we bought as a maintenance spare, the reseller can't give us the admin password so we can't connect to it, it's not the default.

Is there a way of either resetting the switch to factory or forcing a firmware upgrade using xmodem and the serial port or some such method?

Hello, Only HP itself is possible to flash the firmware and reset the password. But this is not cheap.

It's ok, we managed to guess the password!
