MSA1000 & NW6.5 - Disk not visible

Hi,
The MSA1000 is visible when you "list devices" on the netware server.
The problem is that the disk under the MSA1000 is not visible.
I have configured the SAN controller as per the attached file.
I realise I have missed something fundamental but cant figure out what it is.
Hope you can help.

I would first remove the 'unit_id' value - it is only required for AlphaServer operating systems and might confuse other operating systems.

Uwe,
Thanks for the prompt reply.
As soon as I can get access to the SAN, I will try that and let you know if it clears the issue.

Re: MSA1000 & NW6.5 - Disk not visible

It also looks like you have confused the WWPN with the WWNN (and I think this is the main problem):
> Host WWNN = 200000E0-8B1D2BFE
> Host WWPN = 210000E0-8B1D2BFE
...
> add connection SANCS01 wwpn=200000E0-8B1D2BFE profile=NETWARE

It is always a good idea to verify this with
"SHOW CONNECTIONS" afterwards.

Oooops!
Butterfingers!!
I thought I had checked that. :(
So would that result in the MSA1000 being visible but not the disk structure?
I will edit that at the same time as removing the name as proviously mentioned.
Thanks,
Mike

Re: MSA1000 & NW6.5 - Disk not visible

Well, the MSA1000 presents a special device at LUN address #0 so it is always visible. This LUN is used for in-band communications with the controllers and for LUN lookup (the host asks the array controller what LUNs are available instead of polling each address).
