We have a MSA 1000 and SAN switch 2/8 connected to two W23K servers using Emulex cards. The MSA has 10 drives in it. How do we configure the 2/8 switch to partition visibility of the drives, ie we want one server to see only the first 5 drives, and the the second server to only see the second 5 drives..
Can we do this we the components we already have, do we need other components or software ??
Many Thanks for your help..

Solutionfor this prob, i recommend to use the SSP (Shared Storage Presentation) on the MSA Controller. There you can define which Server can Access to which partition. For this operation you need the HBA ID number, where you can find if u type lputilnt at an command prompt.
Hope this help
