MSA1000 and Y2k + 4 problems?

Has anyone else had a problem with the change to 2004? Our MSA1000 decided to crash on us at midnight on New Years. Actually, crash isn't the right word, it seemed to lose its connection to our servers. A reboot of the servers restored the connection, but I thought it was strange for something to happen like this.

Any info would be great.

Thanks.

No problems reported.
What config are you running, any special event's occurred in the MSA or the OS?

No special events that I know of. The event logs in Windows just show a loss of connection to the drives at midnight on New Year's. No other errors. I didn't see any error on the SAN. A reboot of the SAN and the servers and everything is fine again.

I am running an older version of the firmware, 2.83 though, don't know if that makes a difference.

Re: MSA1000 and Y2k + 4 problems?

We had a similar problem with our MSA1000. On Jan. 2 at 1:00 AM, every server attached to the MSA1000 lost it's connection. We also tried rebooting, but then found that a few directories "disappeared" on one of the arrays. We were able to correct the issue by applying the latest firmware to the controller on the MSA1000. Before the problem, we were on v. 2.38. Now we are on 4.24.

We haven't had any other problems since then. I am planning on upgrading the firmware, I just need the time...

As I know that we need to check the firmware version and ready to update it.
