MSA1000 firmware download location?

Can anyone point me to the location to download the MSA1000 firmware?

I can't for the life of me find it on HP.

I'd expect it to be here:

The MSA1000 firmware has been unified with the MSA1500 firmware and moved to it's page.

If you check the release notes of the firmware, it says:

Thank you for the Replies. I had contacted HP tech support and was told similar information about the MSA1500 support page hosting the MSA1000's firmware.


Also thanks for the ftp site. I wanted to grab the bin as well (rather than the full MSI).

I wish HP would provide firmware links via their product bulletin (one of the best tools Iâ ve usedâ ¦) instead of just the website (one of the worst tools Iâ ve used).

Ah well. At least we have forums in the mean time.

Anyone has a link to Firmware 4.48 MSI (the one that can be flashed from WIndows2003).
I am downloading the 6.51 ISO now (dated 12/06), maybe it has 4.48 on it?

I flashed MSA1000 to 5.2 and its a nightmare, both controllers showing Active/Active, but config file says its active/passive.. Tech support said we know about it, but offered no solution...

Any help appreciated

That is correct, with 5.20 FW both controllers will be Active. We emulate Active/Passive.

To the host it appears A/P.

I should add one more item. Once you go to 5.20, you can not go back to 4.48 without losing everything.

I have a similar problems where I have a MSA1000 connected multipath Act/Pass on a HP DL580 G2 Windows 2000 ADV server.

I wanted to upgrade all firmware and drivers.

The current firmware on the boot up of the MSA1000 is 4.32B300.

The latest MSA firmware seems to be 5.20..but it is mention that this is for WINDOWS 2003 *ONLY*...so I am not confident I can upgrade to this release.

Was the firmare 4.48 good for Windows 2000? I cannot found a downloadable link anywhere...
