MSA1000

Wanted to know if there is a shutdown procedure for the MSA1000. I know there is a special method to power down the controllers in an EVA I am not sure if the same applies here

Re: MSA1000

I never have seen one and my attempt to get an answer from HP have not been successful, so far.

The MSA1000 does turn the cache off, when there is no data in it. My guess is that it is safe when the controllers are in that state. You can check this with a CLI command. There is also a LED on each controller's front panel - if the LED marked 'X' is off, then there is no cache activity.

For a definite answer you have to ask HP, I am afraid. Let us know if you get anything!
