MSA2040
Hi,
I have a MSA240, I have read these support active - active mode. Is this the default mode and how can I check it is in this mode. I have a management port on each controller but I can only connect to the manage port on the bottom controller. I can ping the IP for the other management port on the other controller.
Both controllers have a staus of 'Operational' and both management ports have a status of 'manual'
Many Thanks
JB

Re: MSA2040
This array works in active/active ALUA mode, this means each controller is the owner of one or more vdisks. Each controller module has a management controller (MC) and a storage controller.
I would try to restart the MC of controller A like this:
> restart mc a
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
