Hi everyone,
I have 1xDL580gen10 and 2xMSA2062 SAS SFF Storage (each filled with 24 drives). I am planning to install two external SAS controllers below into DL580 for a direct-attach connection to storage arrays. Do these SAS controllers support MSA2062? If they don't, which sas controllers should I get instead? Thank you!

SolutionHi,
yes, the Card is supported.
It is still not listed in the QuickSpec:
https://h20195.www2.hpe.com/v2/getdocument.aspx?docname=a00047736enw
@HPE Should be Updated
But you can find it in the Spock here:
https://h20272.www2.hpe.com/SPOCK/Content/ExportPDFView.aspx?Id=21317&typeId=1
The E208e-p also works and is cheaper.

Re: MSA2062 direct-attach to DL580
Is there a reason to use this card instead of an H241 when attached to the MSA?
Will the cache on the P408e effectively be additive to the MSA's cache? Is that even possible given that the MSA couldn't invalidate the P408e's cache when data had changed on a drive?

Re: MSA2062 direct-attach to DL580
The H241 is not listed as a compatible Controller for the MSA2060.
https://h20272.www2.hpe.com/spock2/Cont/ConfigsetView/index/124963
The Cache (and Raid) of the Controller is not used if attached to an MSA Storage.

Re: MSA2062 direct-attach to DL580
P408e-p cache is unused when connected to the MSA 2062 SAS system. As Cali stated use the E208e-p as a much cheaper solution.
Qualified configurations can be reviewed in Single Point Of Connectivity Knowledge (SPOCK): https://www.hpe.com/storage/SPOCK
An HPE Passport is required for access
