MSA500 + CLI through serial console port

MSA500 + CLI through serial console port

Greetings,
What am I missing here? The serial port on the controller seems to be deaf. I log in regularly to MSA1000 and other HP products but this thing seems to not respond. I've checked the documentation and it advertises the serial port is available for maintenance but not how to configure or what commands are available.

Fred,
The MSA500 is the same as the MSA20. Their cli ports only work one way. Output msg only.
