MSA500G2 expansion

We have a MSA500G2 w/ all of its slots populated w/ 146GB SCSI drives and connected to two DL580's in a Windows cluster via scsi. We are running out of disk space and need to expand. My question is can we connect another MSA500G2 to the existing MSA500G2 (basically daisy-chaining them)and have it seen as one big array as a way of adding extra disk space? Thanks.

Re: MSA500G2 expansion

No.

Your best option is probably swapping drives, then expanding logical drives and then extending then in Windows.

You could also consider upgrading the storage array.

Re: MSA500G2 expansion

Hi,
It is not at all possible to Daisy chain these equipments. You could consider bigger drives or an MSA30 type enclosure for your setup.

Cheers!
