MSA60/70 + JBOD for ZFS Storage Enviroment
Hey everyone,
how do i approach this topic? I am currently using MSA60 shelves over a Smart Array P800 to present storage to a proliant server. For integrity reasons i was interested if its possible to use another controller or HBA that could present the disks in the shelf to a system individualy. Im planning to convert the raid6 volumes into one or 2 ZFS volumes. The hardware itself is older but still running just as well as it did the first day.
I looked into HBA cards, in particular HP SC44Ge, but i am unsure over compatibility and i wonder if anybody has done something similar.
Thanks for all input in advance.
