Hi,
I want to build the following scenario but Ihaven't been able to validate if it is possible. Can someone please help me with this?
The objective is to build an Hyper-V 2012 R2 (core) failover cluster using MSA60 as shared storage with VM load distributed on 2 DL380 G6 servers.
The configuration would be:
1x HP MSA60 Dual Domain (12x300GB 15k SAS Dual Port)
2x HP ProLiant DL380 G6
2x HP SmartArray P421 1GB DDR3 FBWC (one in each server)
The cabling:
DL380G6-01(P421-Port1) <=> MSA60-IOM1-IN
DL380G6-02(P421-Port1) <=> MSA60-IOM2-IN
Thank you very much in advance.
Ignacio.

SolutionThese MSA's are not designed to be shared at all.
Dual domain means you can have dual pathes from a single host, single controller. The problem is the controller cache in he server which cannot be synced between the servers.
You need something like a MSA2000, P2000 or MSA2040, 1040, etc.
You would need the Smart Array P1228 DAN Controller together with a D6000 disk chassis for this (because of the controller caches), but this is bound to the StoreOnce and StoreAll product lines only.
DAN means Direct Attached Network.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
