We have a tape library, MSL8096 and MSL4048 which we’ve had for years. The problem I am having, is I need to replace the cleaning tapes, however, the person who setup the library is no longer here, and we do not know the front panel code to get into the library. Is there anyway to reset it, or is there a master code I can get in with?

Re: MSL8096 replace the cleaning tapes
Dear Renna,
OCP administrator password can be reset with the password reset tool that only the support team will have access to.
You may dial-in technical support line number with the serial number, with physical access to the unit so that a new temporary password can be generated with the date and time on the library.
The password will restore Administrator access for devices.

Thank You for the information, you wouldn't happen to know the number we can call?

SolutionHello,
Please open a support case with HPE Support using the following web link, if the unit is under warranty: https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/home
If the unit is out of warranty, you can open a chat support case with HPE using the following web link to check for options: https://pg-receiver-pro.glb.itcs.hpe.com/WCLWeb/WCLEntry.aspx
Cheers,
Shawn
