Massive issues with MSA2050
Good Morning,
I have a big problem with our MSA 2050, we have suddenly noticed that we are not able to create new volumes on our storage. After hours of research we have logged a call to HP but in mean time I wanted to ask some of you if you came across this problem.
Main issue here is that we suddenly have massive unallocated space which is crazy and not adding up at all and only showing under few locations otherwise most of the stats and commands from CLI are adding up.
This is what we are seeing, bear in mind all assigned to one controller A.
Total disk capacity: 224.8TB
Unused : 0
Global Spates :2400GB
Virtual Disk Groups : 222.4 TB
Reserved: 21TB
Allocated 77.2TB
UNALLOCATED : 5259.9TB !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Uncomitted :0
A is overcomiitted by 5135.7TB
Bear in mind we have a replica SAN whcih is showing same sympthoms.

Re: Massive issues with MSA2050
Do you have replication configured?
Can you please provide below output,
show volumes
MSA 2050 max no of volumes supported 512 and max no of snapshot supported 512 so you need to check how many total volumes + snapshot present in your system
I see in Pool A around 124.1TB shows as Available so you shouldn't face any problem with volume creation if you haven't reached volume creation threshold limit.
It will be good if you can share the SMU home page where all Pools, Disk Group and other component size shown as the below seems un-natural,
UNALLOCATED : 5259.9TB
A is overcomiitted by 5135.7TB
Hope this helps!
