Move drives between MSA2000 G3 Fiber SANs

Hello,

I have two identical HP MSA2000 G3 Fiber attached SANs. I am needing to move the disks from one SAN to the other, if I just move them will the SAN recognize them? Anything I need to be concerned about when doing this? Obviously I cannot lose data.

I don't think so.

I would expect to see the disks in LEFTOVER or even empty.

I have never done this.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

As the new MSA will not be able to recognize its metadata it will put the disks in leftover state, that means data will be lost if u make them available to use in new MSA.
