Hi Guys,
is it possible to configure dual SCSI paths to disks in a MSA30 dual bus enclosure via a dual channel SCSI HBA ? The server in question is a rp3410 and I am trying to find out whether I can have 2 PVlinks for each disk.
Thanks,
Jozef

Solution
Hi Jozef,
no, not with the dual bus module.
There are 3 different modules available for the msa30:
1) SB - single bus (all disks on 1 bus), 1 connector
2) DB - dual bus (left/right half of disks on 1 bus each), 2 connectors
3) MI - multi initiator - 2 busses for each half of disks, 4 connectors
You need 3) MI module!
(it's working only with hp-ux - it's exactly what you need)
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Multiple paths to a MSA30DB ?
Hello Torsten,
thanks for your prompt clarification. It was not really clear from the user guide, but the 4-port bus module makes sense.
Regards,
Jozef
