NetWare 6.5 on DL380 and MSA500 Abend
Hello,
i have at my costumer the following problem:
2 HP DL380G3, 1 MSA500, High Availability Kit (2. Array-Controller in MSA500, 2. Array Controller in both DL380), NetWare 6.5 Sp2 Cluster
All patches (22.11.04) are installed.
I know there is no Software-Support (Secure-Path) for NetWare on MSA500.
I have configured the NetWare for NSS Multi-Path detection and it works. But i have 2 Problems. May be normal... but i want to be shure...:
1) if i remove one of the redundant Array Controllers in the MSA500 both cluster-Server abends in NWPA.NLM. Just befor the abend i can see the message "redundant array Controller failed..."
2) if i disconnect the Primary SCSI-LINK between the DL380 and the MSA500, the NSS use the backup-path, but to reestablish the primary-path i have to reboot the server.
Is this a configuration-Problem or does it "work as desiged" ?

Re: NetWare 6.5 on DL380 and MSA500 Abend
To me, it looks like there is no multipath support with NetWare. You have an unsupported configuration. It does NOT work properly.
