No Online LUN discovery on SLES 9
Hardware
- HP Proliant DL385 G1
- 2 x FC HBA FCA2214 FibreChannel HBA
( is QLogic 2312 )
lspci => Fibre Channel: QLogic Corp. QLA2312
modinfo qla2300 => version: 8.01.06
- SAN Storage => IBM ESS800
Software
- SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 + SP3
- Driver Version 8.01.06
- HBA Firmware => 3.03.18
- HBA Scan Tool ( for New LUN discovery )
=> ql-dynamic-tgt-lun-disc-2.2 ( by QLogic )
Assigning a new lun on ESS storage and discovering it online by starting ql-dynamic-tgt-bla works great for until now 172 Devices / 4 alternate pathes => 43 LUNs.
Since yesterday it wont.
After reboot LUNs are present, but normaly I cant't reboot at any time with a high productiv machine.
Any Idea's. My be any limitation in Adapter Config ? ( Not MaxLunsPerTarget, is still 128 )
I just tried this without success
# echo "scsi-qlascan" > /proc/scsi/qla2xxx/0 ; rescan-scsi-bus -w -l
# echo "add-single-device x x x x" > /proc/scsi/scsi
