Online spare not kicking in after drive failure
Hi All
I've got an MSA 1000 running latest A/A firmware. One of my drives has failed. What's odd is I have an online spare assigned to all my arrays, but it doesn't appear to be doing anything. The array is listed in ACU as: "Parallel SCSI Array E with Spare". I thought the spare would be used to rebuild automatically. Is there something else I need to do?
The error reported in ACU is:
==================
#274
The current array controller has a bad or missing physical drive attached to Box 1 : Bay 12.
To correct this problem, check the data and power connections to the physical drive.
For more information, run the Array Diagnostics Utility.
==================
Thanks!
