We have a P2000 G3 SAS unit with dual controllers and would like to install the new TS230P006 firmware. Typically the P2000 firmware is installed via the web management console, but the installation instructions state it should be installed via the command line or Windows smart component installation.
Could someone confirm this? Thanks!

Re: P2000 G3 Firmware Install Question
Thanks. So the firmware I mentioned doesn't show a web console option that I see, which I found odd.

Re: P2000 G3 Firmware Install Question
If your FW is older than TS230 and you are wanting to flash to TS230, please use the smart component only. Do not exact the binary.

Re: P2000 G3 Firmware Install Question
Aloha,
Whne using the Online Flash for Windows - HP P2000 G3 MSA Arriays firmware update utility, I get the following error:
"Controller Version Mismatch!! Flash Status is 7."
I am tring to upgrade the controllers from version TS201P007 to TS230P006.
I am trying to upgrade becasue on Contoller A, we have a red X on the ethernet port indicating a failure. We only noticed this trouble after upgrading to firmware version TS201P007.
Has anyone run into this problem? I have attached the log file created during the upgrade process

Re: P2000 G3 Firmware Install Question
The flash was successful using the smart component upgrade - FYI
