P2000 G3 SAS ODX feature
Hello All,
Few questions regarding MSA P2000 G3. Currently have 10 x 900GB drives installed in them.
Does anyone know if MSA P2000 G3 SAS supports the ODX feature for HYper-V 2012 R2?
What is the best practise in creating vdisk and Volumes?
Should i create one vdisk and select the whole vdisk as one volume or one vdisk and several volumes?
Thanks for the help in advance.
Regards
Nimesh

Re: P2000 G3 SAS ODX feature
My Information is: P2000 G3 no ODX yet and not in Future.
One vdisk only uses one Controller.
To use both Controller, you have to configure two vdisk.
Only one Volume will give a very Big one.
Think about the Restore/Repair time if this big Volume needs recovery.

Re: P2000 G3 SAS ODX feature
Thanks Cali.
I'll create 2 vDisk -
vdisk1. Raid 10 contain 4 x 900GB Sas drive giving me 1.8TB
vdisk2. Raid 6 contain 6 x 900GB SAS drive.
vdisk1 will contain few volumes conatingin Exchange and SQL log files
vdisk2 will contain around 4 volumes containing all the other files like OS VDH file and data files.
