SAN Switch 2/8 EL
I have two servers connected to MSA1000 through a HP Storageworks San Switch 2/8 EL. That configuration works good but we want to add one more SAN Switch 2/8 EL to this system for redundant, is it possible ? And if it is possible , how can we do this.?

Re: SAN Switch 2/8 EL
Hi,
you need more that a second switch for redundancy. You also need a second controller in the MSA1000, and a second HBA in each server, as well as Multipathing software (if you have Windows you can use MPIO).
Regards,
Stephen

Re: SAN Switch 2/8 EL
And also I want to ask one more question , we didn't make any configuration for the second switch, I mean the second SAN switch is spare now, do we have to make any configurations if we want to change it with the other SAN switch that is working on the system ? or can we use the 2. SAN switch without any configurations?
