SNMP Traps
Hi all, I have a MA8000 SAN with HSG80 controllers, I also have HP Openview.
What is the easiest way to have my SAN issue SNMP traps to HP Openview when there is a disk failure?

Re: SNMP Traps
There are only two ways that I know:
1- Using a SAN Appliance: Unless you have a large SAN I don't recommend this method.
2- Using SWCC: Storage Works Command Console. But this is very limited. You will need to have Compaq Insight Manager monitoring your servers. Through CIM you can receive alerts. Assuming you have Proliant servers and Windows OS.
I don???t know for sure that OpenView will help although my experienbce is limited with this product.
